I took the photos a few years ago. but I just had the chance to edit the photos today. heheh blame my procastination, please :p The recent house-tour taken place at my aunt,Mrs. Dian Mutter home,in Sawangan Area. Lived with husband and 1 lovely daughter,Anjani,my aunt has similarity with me,we love home decor and I always admire her decor tasted because she love nature and tribes accesories and she put it beautifully through her home. I found her family unique because they often camping at the baduy tribe habitation or Gede mountain in special events like birthdays for example or even an anniversary. so cute, isnt it?and rare hehehe..and since they are so often to visit the Baduy Tribe, the Baduy twibes themselves even visit back my aunt home through a-few-days-of-walking. wow!
My uncle himself,Hendrikus Mutter is a former chairman of the climbing sports in Indonesia. As you see, having the travelling and adventurous character in each person of the family seems applied in their home-decor as well.such as : They way they put lots of Baduy tribes on their hallway, their nature-themes bathroom,or the used of an antique tiles on the floor - they bought it when they were travelling to Cirebon. in addition, they even making the furniture themself using merbabu wood! I must say they have an awesome house with the mixes of Baduy tribes, strong javanese accents and very eco-friendly because they used many antiques material as floor,as walls and some of the furniture.
when I asked my aunt, why she use the javanese door in all over the room where I think, the door is kinda expensive. she gave me an interesting answer. She said,Javanese people has a strong believes that if they used the door made by wooden material, the thieves wouldnt be able to break the door, especially those who used black magic.though, there's no logic explanation, she choosed to believe it. interesting right? well, before I'm babbling a lot more, please do enjoy the photos and let me know what you think :)
My cousin bedroom, Anjani.
